With the rampant agricultural smuggling threatening the livelihoods of farmers and financial capacity of consumers, Cong. Wilbert Manoy “Wise” T. Lee lauded the enactment Anti-Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act which he principally authored to impose stricter penalties on smuggling, hoarding, and price manipulation. For Lee, the next step is to ensure the effective implementation of this measure. 

“Sampolan na ang mga dapat sampolan! Maging seryoso na sa pagpuksa ng mga krimeng ito na patuloy na kumikitil sa kabuhayan ng mga local food producers at nagpapasakit sa mga consumers,” Lee emphasized.
